2 Readings at The Center For A New Generation (Tues. Feb. 17th)

Gillian has scheduled a Reading, Q & A and Coloring session for the Center For A New Generation with a focus on literacy.  It is a foundation started by Condoleezza Rice in 1991. It's purpose is to increase literacy for children grades one to eight.  It is based in Menlo Park, California.  In 1996 CNG merged with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula.  It is an innovative after-school academic enrichment program.  The goal is to increase the high school graduation rate by helping young students prepare for high school and college.  The program focuses on Math and Language Arts.  Electives such as Art and Music are offered to help students express their imagination and creativity.
